Geologic setting of the Krško basin

Invited lecture at the conference of the Italian association of geophysicists in session Seismic hazard for critical facilities. Geological and seismological characteristcs of the Krško basin were presented in relation to seismic safety of the Krško nuclear power plant. One representative of each European country that hosts nuclear facilities was invited. The expertise in compilation of geology, geodesy and seismology data as used in this study is based in large part also on knowledge gathered through the project Seismotectonic model of the Krško Basin.
