Electrochemical EDTA recycling after soil washing of Pb, Zn and Cd contaminated soil

The new process solves the problem of EDTA recycling after washing of soils contaminated with toxic elements. Sacrificial Al anode was used to replace toxic metals from EDTA complex in alkaline pH with Al, while released metals were electro-deposited on stainless steel cathode. After neutralization the recycled EDTA maintains the same soil metal removal capacity as fresh EDTA.

Functioning and toxicity of artificial soil mixtures with metal-bearing sewage sludge

Functioning of several mixtures of soil mineral phase with toxic-metals burdened sawge sludge was investigated as substrate for plant growth. Fractionation, mobility and availability of toxic metals in mixtures were studied in a field experiment of pilot scale.

Efficiency modeling of solidification/stabilization of multi-metal contaminated industrial soil using cement and additives

Evaluation of solidification/stabilisation of multi-metal contaminated soil with hydraulic binders was unsolved problem. In this study the metal toxicity data in combination with metal leachibility in diffusion was used in empirical efficiency model.
