The aim of the doctoral thesis was to evaluate the fate of non-labile residual metals left in soil after remediation with ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid (EDTA) leaching from the point of view of their mobility and accessibility to organisms. . By exposing the remediated soil to earthworms and temperature changes as model biotic and abiotic environmental ageing factors, respectively, we simulated the fate of residual metals after reintroducing the remediated soil into the environment. .
