The role of the coach's perception of young athletes' personality traits in his motivational behavior over the process of practice

Findings obtained with Slovene coaches of perspective athletes were presented at the World Congress on Sports Psychology. The coaches assessed personality of their young athletes and motivational components of own leadership behavior. The behavior varies as a function of the perceived personality traits in young athletes. The findings are integrated into the undergraduate and postgraduate kinesiology study (UL), postgraduate study of kinesiology (Uni. of Zagreb, Croatia) and serve as guidelines for effective leadership behavior of coaches of young and perspective athletes.
