Knowledge discovery in transcriptomics datasets through use of novel data mining algorithms

We have developed RelSets, a novel methodology for analysis of transcriptomics datasets. The analysis of different datasets indicated its complementary function to standard statistical models as the output is the list of genes that determines one group of samples while the statistic testing produces list of genes that differentiate between sample groups as an output.

Transcriptomics of potato-PVY interaction

We have studied plant responses to pathogen attack on the level of genes expression using both DNA microarrays and quantitative real-time PCR. The results of these studies gave new insights into the physiology of interactions of plants with biotrophic pathogen virus PVY. We have provided additional info on how different strains influence physiology of potato.
