In the project, the members of the research group collaborated with Lenis company, which developed alginate gel with 10% Lucilia sericata larval excreta/secreta. The product can be used as a substitute for the larval treatment in chronic inflammed wounds. The company analyzed the medical and marketing potential of the product in the treatment of infected chronic wounds. The project was presented at the international Valor Forum in Amsterdam. The project was choosen as the best project in the year 2009 by the participants of the Forum and the professional jury.
