Co-organization of regular international conference Regional Biophysics Conference in Linz, Austria in 2009 (J.Štrancar)

J Štrancar involved as president of the Slovenian Biophysical Society in the organization of regular biennial meetings of biophysicists (Regional Biophysics Meeting / Conference), which were now in Treten (I), Zreče (SI), Balaton (H) and Linz (A). The purpose of the meetings is to allow the interaction of young biophysicists from Central Europe with top researchers in this area and elsewhere.

J Štrancar was at a conference on technology transfer in 2009, JSI awarded as one of five researchers with the best idea to set up spin-off companies. Presented and awarded ideas and suggestions for performance has been focused on the protection of areas primicrobe food processing in plants and hospitals.
