Dr. Kalin is the editor of the book “History of mechanical engineering and technical culture in Slovenian territory”. This book, on 550 pages for the first time comprehensively describes the development of mechanical engineering and related fields in the area of the present-day Slovenia. The book was published during 50-th anniversary of the autonomous Faculty of mechanical engineering within the University of Ljubljana. The book is available in over 60 libraries in Slovenia.

COBISS.SI-ID: 11378715Journal of Tribology, Transactions of the ASME: Guest editor (Feb-April, 2006), and Associate Editor (2006-present). ISSN 0742 4787. Based on his experience, recognition and many reviews, dr. Kalin was invited by Prof. M. Bryant (Editor in chief) to become Associate Editor for Journal of Tribology, which is one of the fundamental and the most respected SCI journals in the field of tribology. In 2012 he will complete the second 3-year mandate.
