1.
Process for the synthesis of nanotubes and fullerene-like nanostructures of transition metal dichalcogenides, quasi one-dimensional structures of transition metals and oxides of transition metals

We have protected synthesis of MoS2 nanotubes and peapods, geometry of peapods and threadlike molybdenum oxides. MoS2 nanotubes are applicable in industrial lubricants, solar cells, as catalysts in desulfurization of petroleum and for self lubricative polymer coatings.

2.
Nano cooling fluids and analysis of friction properties at cutting processes

We have prepared cooling fluids with added MoS2 nanotubes for metal cutting processes. We evidenced their superior performance in relation with currently used cooling fluids.

3.
Self-lubricative polymer nanocomposite based on polyethylen oxide-PEO with added MoS2 nanotubes

We prepared the first nanocomposite based on water soluble polyethilen oxide (PEO) with added MoS2 nanotubes. The nanocomposite thin coating on stainless steel decrease friction for several tens percents. After the breakthrough the MoS2 nanotubes continue with friction reduction.

4.
The Mos[sub]2 single layers as graphene analogy

In invited talk as a conclusion of invited proffesor position I represented MoS2 monolayers, which have been prepared by exfoliation of MoS2 nanotubes. Their optical and morphological properties have been descibed.
