It was found, that a single static local impurity, added into the integrable spin system, changes qualitatively the transport from a dissipationless into a normal incoherent one.

Finite-temperature dynamics with the density-matrix renormalization group method.

A novel numerical was developed, which allows for the evaluation of dynamical correlations at finite temperatures. The method is the combination of DMRG-type choice of optimum basis set and the Lanczos diagonalization.
