Eavesdropping in vibrational communication networks

In lecture with this title presented at the international scientific meeting the concept of vibrational communication network, which is based also on the conclusions of the project, that generalist predators use vibrational signals of male leafhoppers as a cue during foraging, was first introduced. As a result we were invited to contribute a chapter titled Vibrational communication networks: eavesdropping and biotic noise’ for the book ‘Vibrational Communication in Arthropods’ which will be published in 2013 by Springer Verlag.

M. Virant-Doberlet was official co-supervisor.
