Transmission of Podisus maculiventris tremulatory signals through plants.

In the original scientific article the authors described vibrational communication signals of the predatory bug species Podisus maculiventris (Asopinae) and investigated their transmission through a plant. The results are important to understand vibrational communication of the relative species Picromerus bidens which is the aim of the study of the project started in May 2009.

Manipulation of insect signaling for monitoring and control of pest insects

In the chapter of the book published by the well recognized publisher Springer the authors described the potential use of insect communication signals in biological control of insect pests. This work is the basis for development of altentaive methods for biological control which is the subject of investigations of the J1-2133-0105 project.
