NMR measurements on diamond antiferromagnetic spin-1/2 chain

High magnetic field 63,65Cu NMR spectra were used to determine the local spin polarization in the 1/3 magnetization plateau of azurite, Cu3(CO3)2(OH)2, which is a model system for the distorted diamond antiferromagnetic spin-1/2 chain.

Discovery of a new magnetoelectric compound in strongly frustrated two-dimensional antiferromagnet

In the FeTe2O5Br system, which is built from the Fe4 strongly frustrated clusters, we discovered that at low temperatures system orders in the incommensurate spin amplitude modulated magnetic structure. this structure opens the possibility for a simultaneous development of a ferroelectric order and thus represent a new class of magnetoeletrics.
