Giant electrocaloric effect in solid bulk and thin films of ferroelectric relaxor ceramics

With direct measurements we confirmed existence of the giant electrocaloric effect in some ferroelectric relaxor materials in which it was previously predicted by indirect experiments. In thin PLZT films we observed by direct measurements the giant electrocaloric effect exceeding previously reported in solid ferroelectrics. Results were presented at several international meetings, among them two invited talks. They are also in preparation to be published in international scientific journals.

Giant electrocaloric effect in thin films blends of ferroelectric relaxor polymers

With direct measurements we confirmed existence of the giant electrocaloric effect in some ferroelectric relaxor polymers in which it was previously predicted by indirect experiments. In thin films of terpolymer and copolymer blends we observed by direct measurements the giant electrocaloric effect exceeding previously reported in solid ferroelectrics. Results were presented at several international meetings, among them two invited talks. They are also in preparation to be published in international scientific journals.
