Žarko Lazarević: History of concern Kolektor (1963-2013)

With the monography were presented the results of the analysis of the concern Kolektor, one of the most globalized slovene compay. The monography (research) was based on the assumption of the company as a economic and social space. the following research questions were thematisized: historical continuity, development phases, R&D procesess, foreign investments, structure of management models, transitional transformation, privatization, management of brands, concepts of social responsibility, long-term business efficiency, business models, internationalization and globalisation.

The cooperative movement in Slovenia between ideas and practice - small nation, economic underdevelopment and capitalism up to World war II.

The paper, which was given on the XVI. world economic history congress (2012), discusses the emergence and development of cooperatives in Slovenia at the end of the 19th and the first decades of the 20th century. The cooperative movement has played an exceptionally important role in the development of the Slovenian economy and society. The cooperative mechanism founded and dispersed on the basis of the German Schulze-Delitzsch and Raiffeisen model represented an institutional innovation that helped the Slovenian rural population to overcome partly the risks brought by the capitalist economy.

The author is dealing with the issue of alcoholism in the slovene regions in the era of bourgeois. The topics of analysis were the health and social pathology as a direct consequences of alcoholism and the structure of public antialcoholic narration and moral discourse.

this is the first national monography on the historical features of social and personal responsibility in slovene historiography. Research group opened the new aspects of research in economic and social history. the following questions are contextualized: ethics of work, leissure, healt, social wallfare systems, unemployment, technology in the era of capitalistic and communist ekonomic and social systems.
