Ecclesiastical Organisation in Western Illyricum (from the late 4th century to 600): Selected Issues

The article discusses the development of ecclesiastical organisation in the area of the central Danube Region and the Western Balkans after the victory over Arianism in the late 4th century. The core of the article refers to the formation of metropolitan and later archdiocesan seats (Sirmium, Salona, Justiniana Prima, with Aquileia also reaching into the northwest region of this area) and their gradual disintegration in the late 6th century. It is the first attempt at ecclesiastical prosopography for the territory of Western Illyricum and the northern part of the Eastern Illyricum.

Role of the "Slovenia, my Land" Campaign in the National Homogenisation of the Eighties

The contribution discusses the campaign which started as a tourism campaign and later turned into a political one (Yugoslavs saw it as an expression of separatism, while Slovenes saw it as an expression of strengthening the national identity, and saw the linden leaf as an expression of Slovenehood). This campaign caused a mass homogenisation of Slovenes, without which the attainment of independence would not have been possible.
