Damjan Prelovšek: The National University Library, (Art in the Pocket, 1), ed. Barbara Murovec

Editorial work for the Art in the Pocket series. The series of booklets has been published as part of Ljubljana – World Capital of Books 2010 programme. So far, three paperbacks on Ljubljana's monuments were published (ed. B. Murovec): D. Prelovšek: The National University Library; J. Mikuž: Drago Tršar’s Monument of the Revolution; V. Krmelj: Sugar Refinery. With a combination of language, appealing to wider audiences all the while remaining scientific, and rich illustrations, the authors focus on fine art and architectural monuments, also by including them into the wider social context.

“Desiderata” of Emilijan Cevc

The lecture presented those research themes that academician Emilijan Cevc was attracted to throughout his entire life, but remained unfinished, mostly in form of fragmentary notes; like his numerous publications his “desiderata” also reveal the exceptional width of his scientific interest.

The Turks are in the Land – Artistic Witnesses and Interpretations.

In the guest lecture at the international scientific meeting "Die Türken erinnern. Ausbildung und Überlieferung des Türkengedächtnisses im internationalen Vergleich", Bad Radkersburg, 15.10.2010]. The attitude towards Turks in the Early New Age in Inner-Austria, especially in Carniola is presented as it is reflected in visual arts.

Heritage for Life : Preserving for Research – Researching to Preserve : Programme Booklet.

Organization and leading of the 4th conference of Slovenian art historians, dedicated to the relation and connections between researching and preserving artistic heritage. The conference was conceived in a distinct interdisciplinary way (art history, restoration, natural sciences, economics) and aiming at a reflection over researching architectural monuments, space and visual arts in Slovenia: of what support can scientific research be to the preservation of heritage, what is the present situation in this field and how can it be improved.

Barbara Murovec: editor-in-chief and responsible editor of Umetnostna kronika (Art Chronicle)

Art Chronicle is the central Slovene professional magazine for the field of art history, art, cultural heritage, etc., intended for a widest audience; it follows and comments topical events in the discipline. It is published by the France Stele Institute of Art History at the Scientific Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts. In 2010, four numbers were issued, in which the editorial board jointly with the authors crucially intervened for several times in what was going on in the branch, particularly in the sphere of preservation of Slovene art heritage.
