KOKOLE, Metoda. Isaac Posch : "diditus Eois Hesperiisque plagis - praised in the lands of Dawn and Sunset"

Isaac Posch (c. 1591-1622/23), «praised in the lands of Dawn and Sunset», was an intriguing early seventeenth-century composer, one of those still little-researched Kleinmeister who forged the musical culture now considered as a European heritage. This monograph is a revised and enlarged English version of the Slovenian original, first published in 1999 and based on the author's award-winning dissertation at the University of Ljubljana.

ŠTER, Katarina. Notational characteristics of manuscript MS 273 at the Graz University Library

The Graz University Library (UB Graz) holds a Carthusian antiphoner from the end of the 13th century (MS 273), which was used by monks at the Žiče (Germ. Seitz) monastery. The article discusses the main palaeographic properties of the codex, and focuses especially on the differences in the text and notation, thus trying to answer the question about the number and specific characteristics of the different scribes who took part in producing the manuscript.

SNOJ, Jurij. The Climacus in the Breviarium notatum Strigoniense and the Gregorian modality

In the Breviarium notatum Strigoniense there are two forms of climacus (with the first note written as a single punctum, and with the first note doubled). There is a slight difference in the meaning of these two signs, yet it seems that the distinction was not strictly observed by the scribe.
