Serenade for string orchestra

Ipavec's Serenada is one of the most characteristic and important compositions in the history of the Slovenian music, yet so far it has not been available in a reliable edition. The present scholarly edition is a result of a longer research; it is based on all the available extant sources and presents the score in the most authentic version.

Opera in the theatres of Ljubljana

Jože Sivec is the most distinguished researcher of the Slovenian opera history. He wrote a great number of important articles discussing various topics from the history of operatic performances in Slovenia , which were published in various journals and books. In the present edition, prepared by Metoda Kokole and Klemen Grabnar, all the important Sivec's articles are collected and thematically arranged, which enables a complex view into the history of the Slovenian operatic endeavours.

A short outline of the first period in the history of the Glasbena matica musical society

The Glasbena matica musical society played a very important role in the history of the Slovenian music, as it represented a centre around which developed the Slovenian musical life. The book outlines the first period in the history of the society and represents thus the first step towards a complex scholarly account of its entire history.

The Slovenian musicological society: a short history, the present state and the prospects

The Slovenian musicological society is a young institution which includes Slovenian musicologists as well as other professional writers on music. The presentation of the society and its prospects on the international level should be regarded as an important affirmation of the Slovenian music and scholarly endeavours of the Slovenian musicologists.
