This monograph deals with the attitude of the state, the Catholic Church and individual intellectuals towards the emigration of Slovenes in the 19th and 20th centuries. The work is a critical analysis of emigration policy in the Austrian period and the period of the first and second Yugoslavia. The work is based on literature and archive material.

Childhood, homesickness and the generation gap in the literature of Slovebian emigrants

The author deals with various aspects of childhood as reflected in literary works by Slovene emigrant writers. How children's literature painted a picture of childhood in the old homeland and life in the new homeland. The article compares the thematic characteristics of emigrant literature with authors in Slovenia.
