In cooperation with the IJS we developed a bioinformatics system, which allows suitable decision on using methods of GMO detection and faster result by applying less analyses.

The journal covers fundamental and specific aspects of the development, optimization, and practical implementation in routine laboratories, and validation of food analytical methods for the monitoring of food safety and quality.

COBISS.SI-ID: 1857359A member of the program team is also an editorial board member of the National Geographic Slovenija from its first issues in Slovene . She is responsible for the field of plants. Besides her professional work as a board member, she also prepares new articles from her field of expertise for the Slovenian edition.

COBISS.SI-ID: 225874688A member of the program group wrote a review on the bacterium Clostridium difficile in Slovenia based on her long-lasting research on the topic. The review was published in a Slovenian edition of the influential medical journal JAMA.
F.02 Acquisition of new scientific knowledge
COBISS.SI-ID: 3364671The members of the program team collaborate with several high-tech firms in Slovenia, e.g. Bia Separations, Bia, Lek-Sandoz, Krka, Omega. During the professional meeting Significance of the biotehnology and mikrobiology for the future, the program leader demonstrated the most important scientific achievements of the program, as well as its application trends. As a result of ten years of mutual work of the program team with BIA Separation, the later invited us to participate in the proposal for a new Center of excellence COBIK, which was approved.
