8-hydroxyquinolones as inhibitors of cathepsin B

Nitroxoline, 8-hidroxyquinolone, was discovered as reversible inhibitor of catehpsin B. Crystal structure of the complex of nitroxoline with cathepsin B was determined and used for design of various nitroxoline analogues.

6th Conference on Experimental and Translational Oncology

Between March 24 and 28 we organized in Kranjska Gora 6th Conference on Experimental and Translational Oncology, which was attended by170 participants from Slovenia and other countries. At the conference the most recent results on the fields of basic and clinical oncology and their interplay were presented.
