The subject of the invention is a pneumatic device for the care and treatment of livestock, which is intended for the safe and humane working with animals, for example maintaining hooves, raising injured animals and such. The animal is reluctant to have its hooves treated and therefore injuries, bumps and lacerations can occur during the process. The invention belongs to a class A01K15/00 of the International Patent Classification.
F.04 Increase of the technological level
COBISS.SI-ID: 6229369We stress the importance of mother plants for successful propagation of woody plants. Thirty years ago, propagation by cuttings was the traditional method of vegetative propagation, used in those woody species which were easier to propagate. In recent years a different viewpoint was formed, stressing the success of propagation is linked to physiological status of mother plants. It does not matter just how much the plant is old, but also where we cut the cuttings. The physiological status of the mother plant also influences the levels of various compounds; auxines and polyphenols.
F.02 Acquisition of new scientific knowledge
COBISS.SI-ID: 6217593A second edition of professional monography was issued. Our acquired knowledge on the production technologies was directly presented to the final user. In addition to general chapters of the book, we have stressed the environmental requirements for cultivation of fruit plants, novelties in cultivars and technological solutions in integrated and organic fruit production. The book is intended for a wide specter of readers, for both professional and amateur fruit growers. It is also a useful lecture book for agronomy students.
F.17 Transfer of existing technologies, know-how, methods and procedures into practice
COBISS.SI-ID: 243706368Testing new cultivars and rootstocks of fruit crops is an important process carried out in Slovenia for decades in order to collect key data on the quality and yield of each cultivar in our environmental conditions. In this publication, the key quality and quantity parameters and appropriate production technologies for specific cultivars of different fruit species are specified. Based on these data a recommendation for planting is issued, which includes only a small part of the tested cultivars suitable for cultivation in production orchards and also for planting intended for the amateurs.
F.17 Transfer of existing technologies, know-how, methods and procedures into practice
COBISS.SI-ID: 246768128In 2009, we organized an international workshop "Diseases of the vine, the cost of plant protection products and alternative strategies in the vine", taking place from 21. to 23. May under COST 858 project viticulture: biotic and abiotic stress. Workshop was held at Department of Agronomy, Biotechnical Faculty in thematic groups: Economic and Environmental Impacts, Grape Diseases (Bacteria and Insects), Grape Diseases (Fungi and Viruses) and Grapevine diseases (Fungi, Viruses and Viruses Like). Number of participants at workshop was 45 daily: 30 from abroad and others from Slovenia.
