1.
Changes in sperm apoptotic markers as related to seminal leukocytes and elastase.

We found that slightly increased leukocytes and elastase are associated with slightly poorer sperm characteristics and/or increased sperm necrosis, DNA denaturation and intracellular ROS and decreased MMP (mitochondrial membrane potential).

2.
Stem cells in aged mammalian ovaries

Stem cells present in the OSE layer of postmenopausal women can no longer be involved in reproductive function due to different natural blockades in the ovary, but they can be involved in the formation of ovarian cancer.

3.
Gene expression microarray analysis of amniotic fluid cells with trisomy 21

We found consistent changes in gene expression in amniocytes with trisomy 21 which could be potentially exploited for diagnostic purposes.

4.
Granulosa cell gene expression in controlled ovarian stimulation in in vitro fertilization after gonadotrophins and GnRH analogues adminstration.

We analyzed differential gene expression in cumulus cell according to gonadotropine used in the in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycles with Affymetrix microarrays and validated expression changes in six genes: SERPINE, FSHR, LIF, EBAG9, AMHR in VEGFC.

5.
Rasch-based high-dimensionality data reduction and class prediction with applications to microarray gene expression data

We showed that Rasch model - based dimension reduction is as effective as PCA-based dimension reduction. The method is general and can be applied to other high-dimensional data problems.
