1.
Prevalence of periodontal pathogens and metabolic control of type 1 diabetes patients

In the study we found out that the presence of T.forsythia and T.denticola in subgingival plaque correlates with poor metabolic control in Type 1 diabetes patients.

Periodontal inflammatory burden correlates with C-reactive protein serum level

With the new original method we quantyfie the inflammatory burden caused by periodontal disease. We found out that he size of the periodontal inflammatory burden correlates with increased serum levels of C-reacitive protetin.

Image resolution and exposure time of digital radiographs affects fractal dimension of periapical bone

Higher resolution of X-ray images and shorter exposure times lead to an increase in the fractal dimension of periapical bone. The highest fractal dimension was found for images with super resolution and the shorthes exposure time, which exhibited also the highest noise.
