A measure of explained variation for survival models

Despite ridiculously low category in COBISS I believe this is the most important sign of the quality of our work in the last year. This meeting was for a rather exsclusive set of biostatisticans working in the area of prediction, who were invited at the expenses of the organizers to exchange ideas on the topic through invited lectures and discussions.

This was an invited lecture at the International Statistical Institute conference in Durban, 2009. The conference is one of largest statistical conferences in the world, and having an invited talk there a great sign of recognition by any standards.
