Mia Meznarič continued to collect muscle samples for Neuromuscular Tissue Bank of the University of Ljubljana and started to implement more precise classification of samples. Catalogue of collection is available on the web side of “Eurobiobank”, the European network of biobanks, in which our bank is integrated.

Editorial board of an international magazine

Since 2000 Ida Eržen holds the position of the Editor-in-Chief of the international journal "Image Analysis & Stereology" which is the official journal of the International Stereological Society. The journal is interdisciplinary; in 2009 the number of downloads from its homepage reached 40 700. The journal is indexed by some most important databases, i.e. INSPEC, METADEX, Mathematical Reviews, MathSci NET, SCOPUS and Current Index to Statistics).

Editorship of the national journal

Erika Cvetko is the editor-in-chief of Slovenian Dental Journal - the professional journal of Slovene dentistry, published by the Društvo zobozdravstvenih delavcev Slovenije. As the only national journal of dentistry it publishes the professional and research contributions.

Member of the Domain Committeeof the Biomedicine and Molecular Biosciences at the COST)and a »COST expert« at this committee.

As a member of the DC BMBS (and its earlier forms) of COST prof. Grubic represented Republic of Slovenia in this DC from 1998 until May 2010. Since then Prof. Grubic holds in this DC the position of »COST expert« and in this role evaluates proposals for COST actions arriving at COST calls.

Postgraduate students tutoring

Six PhD students completed their PhD theses since 1998 in our research group. Due to the contacts with the top research laboratories outside Slovenia all these young researchers got also the oportunity to participate in the research in these laboratories and became coauthors of papers in the major journals like JBC and PNAS. Publications of young investigators were cited 166 times in four year period since 2006. (bibliographies including citations of these members of the group 0381-051 (Laboratory for Molecular Neurobiology) are available at the SICRIS data base
