Cardiac involvement in muscle and neuromuscular disorders.

Muscular and neuromuscular disorders are characterised with muscle degeneration that may also affect the respiratrory muscles. Since heart is also a striated muscle it is reasonable to assume that haeart could be involved, too. The authors have confirmed this hypothesis, which opens new possibilities in follow-up and treatment of those patients.
