Inteview with prof.Dr. Gregor Sersa, Editor-in-Chief of Radiology and Oncology.

In 2011 Radiology and Oncology obtained its first Impact factor of 1.97. This outatsnding achievement, is the result of its international orientation, and inclusion in Web of Science. The journal is published as opena ccess and in printed version. Its IF enlists Radiology and Oncology on the top of the slovenian biomedical journals.

The award of the University of Primorska: Golden plate

Maja Čemažar received an award of the University of Primorska for a major contribution to the development of scientific work at the university. Her achievement is reflected in the fact that the development scientific work at the College of health care Izola significantly contributed to reorganization of the school into the Faculty of Health Sciences.

Influence of electrochemotherapy and electrogene therapy on metastatic potential of melanoma cells

prof. Cemazar was a supervisor of PhD thesis of a young research fellow Vesna Todorović. The main topic of her thesis was evaluation of metastatic potential of melanoma cells that survived electrochemotherapy and evaluation of expression of genes involved in metastatic potential. She published 3 papers in international scientific journals with IF. In 2011, she published a paper in Melanoma research. The topic of a PhD thesis was development of cell biosensor system for quick determination of genotoxicity.
