Device scans optical sensor spectral characteristic and reads specific feature (peak wavelength, maximum slope), which is correlated to measured parameter. Wavelength of emitted light during scanning is defined with temperature and electrical current through laser diode. Interrogation system is suitable for fiber Bragg gratings and all-fiber Fabry-Perot interferometer based sensor.
