In November 2009, we successfully organized and carried out the 4th biannual international scientific workshop and postgraduate course "Electroporation-based technologies and treatments". The lecturers were the most eminent and established international experts in electroporation: Eberhard Neumann, Justin Teissié, Lluis M. Mir, Veronique Préat, P. Thomas Vernier, Richard Heller and others. The audience comprised students from Slovenia and over 25 other countries, as the course is a part of the credit system of the EU doctoral studies programmes.

COBISS.SI-ID: 248112384We designed and produced a video article presenting the technique of potentiometric measurement of induced membrane voltage using the di-8-ANEPPS fluorescent dye. We combine digital animation and camera footage to describe the membrane voltage inducement caused by an exposure of a cell to an electric field, the preparation of the cell sample for potentiometric measurement, the protocols of the exposure to electric pulses, image acquisition, processing, and analysis. The video article is freely available at the home page of Journal of Visualized Experiments (www.jove.com).
