Bronze medal for innovation entitled “Fingerprint verification system” given by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia.

We developed a system for identification of finger prints which is suitable for example for access control. It is built out of standard hardware components and therefore ready for small scale production.

Franc Solina, Information Society Lifetime Achievement Award, 2012.

During the multconference Information Society held every year at the Jožef Stefan Institute, an award for lifetime achievement is given. In 2012 Franc Solina was the recipient of this award.

Documentation of roman cargo ship in river Ljubljanica near Vrhnika

Applied research project, Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Slovenia (2012). 3D data was obtained using photogrametric methods from photos taken underwater. Construction of a 3D virtual model is underway.
