Development and implementation of compu¬tational procedure that entirely automates reading and interpretation of scintigraphic cardiac images. The main significance of its practical use would be reliable help (often better than that achieved by experienced specialists) to less experienced physicians, especially when making a diagnosis based on scintigraphic images. This leads to lower workload and thus reduced costs of (rarely available) expert physicians as well as shorter waiting times for patients, thus preserving health and developing health care. F.22 Improvement to existing health/diagnostic methods/procedures
COBISS.SI-ID: 8333652We developed a computer-aided system, called Pedius, to assist in the restoration of wall paintings from plaster fragments. In the cases of a large number of fragments of various shape and size, damaged fragments and missing parts of the paintings the restoration is very demanding. Pedius enables digitalization, recording and assistance in putting the fragments together to form the original wall painting. Since this procedure runs on a computer, attempts of reconstruction in the sand-box are not needed any more, hence, time is not wasted and there is no further damage to the fragments. The system was awarded the silver prize at the 6th Slovenian Innovation Forum 2011.
F.09 Development of a new technological process or technology
COBISS.SI-ID: 25194791The book introduces language Prolog and various methods of Artificial Intelligence and their Prolog implementations. The book comprises several original scientific results. Its most important impact is, however, as a text for AI and as a tool for research in this field.
