Persistent pollutants in stabilised landfill leachates

The aim of the lecture was to introduce problems of peristant pollutants in stabilized landfill leachates. Such leachates contained variety of pollutants, e.g. polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, pesticides or metals, especially chromium. Occurrence of such pollutants affects toxicity of leachates and poses problems during leachates treatment. Possible treatment methods for such wastewaters were discussed.

Modified bitumen and its use for preparing asphalt mixtures and bituminous products

Patent includes guidelines of preparation protocols for bitumen modification with waste PMMA/ATH powder, describes proper amounts of additives in bitumen and application methods of modified binders in asphalt mixtures. “Wet” and “dry” protocols of asphalt preparation are also described.
