Development of a competitive 3D ski-jumper suit prototype

Up-to-date computer technologies enable expeditious and accurate development of garment prototypes by ensuring higher efficiency and accuracy of the virtual prototyping process, and become a topic of increasing interest of both computer graphics and computer-aided design for industrial fabric or apparel production. These technologies are especially important when a garment prototype should be developed for special purpose such as ski-jumper suit. The obtained virtual prototypes enable both fast re-modelling according to FIS rules and expeditious development and/or simulations of a jumpsuit.

Objective Evaluation of Textiles and Clothing

Guest lectures can be treated as transfers of specific knowledge of textile mechanics at lower loads, which are important for behaviour of fabrics during manufacturing processes and use of garments. The topics included: Mechanical properties of fabrics and their role in engineering design and evaluation of textiles and clothing, Fabric handle as criterion of quality, Objective evaluation of mechanical and physical properties of textiles and leather, Influence of mechanical properties of fabrics on transformation from 2D to 3D shape and Quality assurance and prediction of garment appearance.

Influence of fabric properties on thermal physiologycal comfort of clothing

Doctoral degree thesis deals with study of material properties of woven fabrics for summer women's clothing on thermo-physiological comfort in warm environment, which corresponds to high summer temperatures. Extensive experimental research on wearing comfort based on change of three physiological parameters: weighted skin temperature, heart rate frequency, quantity of evaporated sweat, resp. skin moisture and volume of sweat accumulated in clothing shown, that the material properties of textile fabrics built-in the clothing directly affected thermo-physiological comfort of wearer of garments.

Intelligent functional garments for ensuring higher level of safety of a human being

Intelligent functional garments for ensuring higher level of safety of a human being are based on a modular basis. The main part is a functional jacket with intelligent design solutions according to a certain protective function. In the event of injury of the user, they solve the problems of a simple and effective detection of injury and its location on the body as well as the place where the user is located. The information is communicated wirelessly to the cumulative information centre. The system involves the sensor system and a system for capturing, storing and evaluating of the signals.
