Fatigue behaviour of thermal cutted steel structural elements

At invited lecture at international konference a multi scale numerical approach for evaluation of crack initiation and propagation of thermal cutted structural elements was presented. Some improvements, added to existing model, were presented. For verification of proposed model comparison with experimental results were shown.

Editorial, Membership in an editorial board of RMZ – Materials and Geoenvironment

The member of our research group is also a member of the Editorial board of RMZ – Materials and Geoenvironment, which is included in most of the secondary databases. We are struggling to rise the quality of the journal. Our immediate goal is to increase the quality of the journal to be included in Web of Science and to achieve an appropriate impact factor. With this respect we are trying to obtain quality articles from researchers all around the world.

Characterisation of the metastable microstructure of Au-La alloy

In the paper a metastable microstructure of microalloyed Au-La obtained in rapid solidification process was presented. The microstructure consists of fine supersaturated and subnanometer sized grains of gold and fine dispersion of intermetallic particles Au6La. Such microstructure is appropriate for dispersion strengthening.
