Coordination of FERFIT project (MNT-ERA.net)

The aim of the project was to develop technology for magnetically oriented BaFe12O19 films for self-biased applications. We developed electrophoretic deposition procedure using degradable electrodes and nonpolar media. In the latter case we managed to obtain films with the magnetic orientation of more than 90%. The screen printing of thick BaFe12O19 films was optimized in cooperation with company Keko Equipment using drying in magnetic field of 24 MOe. The developed films were integrated in a pilot circulator, applicable at 30-40 GHz, by other project partners.

Preparation of superpramagnetic photocatalytic particles

New method for production of larger quantities of superparamagnetic, photocatalytic particles was developed for Cinkarna Celje Company based on our patent. The particles contain of superparamagnetic iron-oxide nanoparticles and photocatalytic anatase nanoparticles and will be used in water purification with their dispersion in the polluted water and magnetic separation after purification.
