Prof. Mirjam Cvetič has been awarded th Simons Foundation Fellowship (USA) as one of the 15 most outstanding theoretical physicists in USA. The news was published also in New York Times.

Prof. Mirjam Cvetič gave a lecture course on Introduction to the quantum field theory and applications in the frame of the 1st International Spring School on Physics of the University of Maribor. We had about 20 participants from Slovenia (Maribor, Ljubljana) and from abroad (Graz, Belgrade, Munich). The lecture course was taking place on 3 - 7 June 2013 and comprised 20 hours. It was extremely successful.

Prof. Marko Robnik has organized the 12th traditional Christmas Symposium of Physicists of the University of Maribor, which is elite national meeting with international participation. We had about 42 participants, among them 8 distinguished scientists from abroad.
