Depth profile of optically recorded patterns in light-sensitive liquid-crystal elastomers

In light-sensitive nematic elastomer, based on the derivatives of azobenzene, we measured the angular dependence of the diffraction efficiency in the Bragg regime on a diffraction grating that was recorded with two coherent UV laser beams. Using a numerical model we determined the main material parameters of the writing process.

Anisotropic microrheological properties of chain-forming magnetic fluids

Using passive microrheology, we measured the viscoelastic properties of a magnetic fluid in micrometer scale as a function of direction and magnitude of external magnetic field.

Role of interionic processes in the efficiency and operation of erbium-doped fluoride fiber lasers

We analyzed the role of interionic processes in the efficiency of erbium doped fiber laser. We constructed a pulsed erbium-fluoride glass laser with a high average power of 2 W and repetition frequency 100 kHz.
