[pi] and [pi][pi] electro-production in the region of low-lying nucleon resonances

In this contribution we discuss the measurements of the electroprodcution of single pions or pairs of pions on protons in the energz region of the low-lying nucleon resonances, as e.g. Delta, Roper, as well as S11(1535) and S11(1650). These measurements are performed in the TJNAF and MAMI laboratories.

Digital pile-up Correction for [gamma]-Spectroscopy with a LaBr(Ce)-Detector at count rates up to 10 MHz

Spectroscopy in scintillation detectors with low dead times and extremely high count rates is of key importance in industrial tomography methods, medical measurements in the regime of radiotherapy fields, as well as in analytic methods with photons and particles in the research of new materials.

Pile-Up Correction and Rejection in [gamma]-Spektroskopie with LaBr[sub]3 : (Ce)-Detectors at very high count rates

In scintillation spectroscopy the count rates are approaching the regimes of fundamentally or inherently saturated rates near the information-theoretical upper limit. With our research we have moved the spectroscopy in these regimes in the immediate vicinity of this limit.
