ANG Recently we have generated PURY (Andrejašič et al., 2008) - a database of geometric restraints of hetero molecules derived from crystal structures of small molecules deposited in CSD. Now the web interface (http://pury.ijs.si/) was extended and provides apart from the topology and parameter generation also validation service. It contains deviation from the target value measured in standard deviations. The under laying software has been used to validate geometry of hetero compounds already deposited in PDB.

COBISS.SI-ID: 000000The Centre of Excellence CIPKeBiP will connect the top available expertise, knowhow, and technology of Slovenian research laboratories in protein science, thus emphasizing biomedical relevance of the applied project (priority health and life sciences). The Centre is coordinated by the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular and Structural Biology at JSI. Five academic and five industrial groups are participating in the Centre, thereby providing an important link between academia and industry.
D.02 Establishment of a research centre, laboratory, study course, association
Organization and running of the Centre takes place within the infrastructural centres of Jozef Stefan Institute(http://www.ijs.si/ijsw/Centri).
D.07 Presiding over a centre/laboratory
Group leader and its members had a number of talks/invited lectures on international conferences (American crystalographyc society, Centra-Eastern European instruct meeting, oint Congress of the Slovenian Biochemical Society and the Genetic Society of Slovenia with International Participation, Proteinases and their inhibitors : recent developments. B.03 Paper at an international scientific conference
Slovenian Biochemical Society has established a working group led by Marko Dolinar in which they discussed the practical aspects of registration of laboratories for work with genetically modified organisms. A large number of rather complex procedures and internal rules had to be adopted. When the working group concluded its work, the editorial materials were collected and processed with relevant comments and were given in the use to the members of the society and general public as guidelines.
