Elaboration of spatial database and web-based information system of geological hazards due to slope movement processes, erosion maps and avalanches maps - a pilot project

An innovative concept for evaluation of geohazard phenomena was developed for application at a municipaliuty scale (detailed scale). The apporach was applied to 14 municiapities in Slovenia. The method is documented in a series of scientific publications while the results of the 2012 case-study is documented in an operational web-application.

Within the International Sedimentological congress (IAS Meeting of Sedimentology 2012), members of our programm group guided an excursion to the Slatnik section and wrote a field-trip guide for this excursion.

Following dinosaurs in Istria

A small booklet is intended to present dinosaur tracks and fossil bones found in the Istria peninsula. We present the geological structure of the Istria, basics of ichnology and a portion of localities with dinosaur footprints and tracks that were visited on the field.
