Ultrasound in Phage Display: a new approach to nonspecific elution

By means of ultrasoud vibration we succesfully, for the first time, prove and develop the method for the elution of bound bacteriophages from target protein. This approach allows the selection of new specific peptide ligands, isolated through selection from phage random library in order to develop the leading peptid or peptidomymetic drugs.

Peptide inhibitors of MurD and MurE, essential enzymes of bacterial cell wall biosynthesis

By using a phage display technology, the specific peptide sequences were isolated from random phage library. Peptides were resynthesized and used for the inhibition of MurD and Mur E bacterial enzymes. The development of these specific peptides my lead to the discovery of novel specific peptidomymetic drug compounds.
