Project manager and project team members participate as editors or members of the Editorial Board of peer reviewed journal Acta Histriae. Central area of Journal's interest is the contact area between the Mediterranean and Central Europe (Slovenian cultural space and the content that are based on interdisciplinary and comparative studies related to the Mediterranean countries). Thus, both at the methodological level and its territorial orientation, the publication covers a deficit area within the Slovenian scientific press, i.e. a part of common Slovenian territory.

Particular attention was paid to the functions of testimonies, which influenced their choice and presentation in different socio-historical contexts. Starting points in discovering these relationships are, firstly, that every testimony presupposes historiographic reconstruction (we choose a fragment of the past, which we regard as important, than read and interpret it), and secondly, that the testimony provides a certain historical truth.

The textbook presents a fundamental guide for those, who will professionally, as a part of their education or amateurish, study the history of the specified region.
