American philosopher Eduardo Mendieta in his three pragmatist lectures talks about the rise of pragmatism and its beginning, intertwined with European philosophical heritage, about the eclipse of early pragmatism between the wars and during the ii. world war, and about pragmatism's revitalization in the sense of social and critical philosophy that raises questions about interculturality and so called 'postethnic' America. The book also features an interview with dr. Mendieta, conducted by project researcher (T. Grušovnik), titled 'Questions of Identities in Contemporary America'.

Lenart Škof has been in 2010 a visiting scholar (4 months August-December) at Max-Weber-Kolleg, University of Erfurt (host prof. dr. Hans Joas, University of Erfurt and University of Chicago) and has been working on a current project in pragmatism and finishing his scientific monograph for an US publisher. Lenart Škof has also delivered lectures at Dept. of philosophy and Max-Weber-Kolleg, both Univ. of Erfurt.
