Organisation of Conference on Experimental and Translational Oncology, Kranjska gora, March 2008, co-editor of the Book of abstracts.

The Conference CETO in 2008 was organized for the fifth time with increased international participation of over 150 scientists from EU and USA. The impact of these conferences is to combine basic, applied and clinical studies. This translation from bench (laboratory research) to bad (patient) is oh importance and represents true socio-economic aspect of these meetings.

This contribution summarises the data and reviews the clinical application of cysteine proteases - cathepsins and their inhibitors in various types of cancer. The monograph is the result of research on proteolysis in cancer done during the five years of the duration of the EU 6FP-Integrated Project # 503297 with acronym CANCERDEGRADOME, carried out between 2004 -2008, being partner number 17 (out of 36 partners).
