Organization and execution of the 12th Japan-Slovenia Seminar on Nonlinear Science, CAMTP

12th Japan-Slovenia Seminar on Nonlinear Science took place on 7-9 Oct 2009 at CAMTP in Maribor. We had the Japanese (20) and the Slovenian (17) elite in this field of research, and also distinguished guests from Germany (3) and from Austria (2). We have exchanged the recent results and planned further collaborations in groups and as a community. The 13th J.-S. Sem. will take place in Tokyo at Waseda University, on 4-6 Nov 2010.

Organization and execution of the 8th Symposium of the Physicists of the University of Maribor, CAMTP, so-called 8th Christmas Symposium

8th Christmas Syposium (Symposium of the Physicists of the University of Maribor), 17-19 Dec 2009, was like every year elite national physics meeting with strong international participation. We had 40 participants, 30 invited lectures, 10 of them from abroad. Among them some eminent researchers like e.g. Anton Zeilinger from Vienna, G. Wunner from Stuttgart, etc. These meetings became of prime importance for physics in Slovenia.
