The patent describes the procedure to prepare ceramics based on (K,Na)NbO3 in (K,Na,Li)(Nb,Ta)O3 solid solutions by mechanochemical activation. The method allows to obtain ceramics with high homogeneity and without the presence of detrimental secondary phases, which is difficult to achieve by conventional solid-state synthesis route. Using this method one can avoid the numerous processing steps encountered in the conventional synthesis route, such as multiple calcinations with intermediate milling steps, and at the same time maintain a low level of contamination of the powder during milling.
