GRDINA, Igor; PETRIC, Ina (ed.). The 200th Anniversary of the Illyrian Provinces

The radio show spoke of the legacy of the Illyrian Provinces in Slovenia and expounded their historical meaning. Despite their short existence, the Illyrian Provinces, which were part of the Great Napoleonic Empire, left a deep mark on the Slovenian culture; in Slovenian literature, the Habsburg myth and Napoleonic legend are uniquely entwined. To the Slovenians, the Illyrian Provinces were the first glimpse of the possible life outside the Habsburg state.
