Research work in the present project is engaged to the development and optimization of different environmentally friendly methods for controlling plant pests and diseases. The results of these researches are and will be published in scientific and professional journals of domestic and international origin. The aim of abovementioned researches is development of optimal non-chemical control methods of pests and diseases, which will offer production of quality and healthy food in the future.
D.08 Management and development of research activities
COBISS.SI-ID: 6099833The results, acquired in the present project, are regularly used in pedagogical work (laboratory excercises, seminars, lectures within the subjects from the field of plant protection, graduation thesis) at the Chair of Phytomedicine, Agricultural Engineering, Crop Production, Grassland and Pasture Management. Doctoral dissertation of Helena Rojht is important part of the present project, and she already informed the students with some results. Special attention within dfifferent parts of pedagogical work is destined to the environmentally acceptable ways of pests and diseases control.

COBISS.SI-ID: 6095993Since 2006 the head of the project is the president of Plant Protection Society of Slovenia and with the help of his coworkers takes care after the activities of this domestic professional association from the field of plant protection. The most important society activity is the organization and the realization of conferences on plant protection, where during the period of the project more lectures from the field of environmentally friendly control of pest organisms were presented. B.01 Organiser of a scientific meeting
COBISS.SI-ID: 254714624In 2009 an independent organizational unit – Laboratory for Phytomedicine was founded. The head of the laboratory is the leader of present project and activities such as diagnostic investigations of pest organisms on plants and professional tasks in the field of health status of plants for the need of Ministry for agriculture, forestry and food of Republic of Slovenia are conducted.

COBISS.SI-ID: 6266233In final report of the project results on laboratory testing of Greek, Serbian, German, Croat and Slovene samples of diatomaceous earth to control store pest beetles are published. This research was the base for further researches of project group L4-1013, which resulted in many professional and scientific publications.
